We began our Spring term with a busy few days as RTE came to film for the "Nationwide" programme. This is to be broadcast on Friday 18th January to coincide with the centenary commemoration of the Solohead ambush. Children from 3rd to 6th classes were filmed working on various projects for this event. Sixth class did a Kahoot interactive quiz and "Conscience Alley" to explore the reason behind the ambush.Third and fourth classes had made a model of the ambush site and were also filmed doing some written work on the project. The children will be taking part in the Guard of Honour to remember the event and the two constables who were killed that day.
