We were delighted to welcome the members of the Soloheadbeg Memorial Committee to our school where they presented us with a beautiful picture of the the events on the 20th January. The children of Monard NS were highly praised for their performance on the RTE Nationwide programme about the Soloheadbeg Ambush and for their respectful behaviour on the day of the commemoration.Thanks to the generosity of the committee the children were rewarded for all their hard work with a party.
