We had a fantastic day in school today with the visit of the Liam McCarthy, Mary Quinn and James Nolan cups. with them came Michael Ryan of the West Board and Dinny Maher Development Officer, Co. Board. But the star of the show was Johnny Ryan, Arravale Rovers who had a fantastic year with the u20 Tipperary team and will hopefully revisit our school as a member of the Senior team before long. Johnny gave a very inspiring talk to the students in our school and answered such insightful questions as Who was the toughest (not best) player you marked? How did you feel when the final whistle blew? Did you ever hold a grudge against another player? and Did you ever think when you were our age that you would play for Tipperary??
Paddy Cavanagh made a speech on behalf of all the students in the school and all the children got their photos taken with the cup and a promise of homework off for the night!! We had a brilliant day and there was a freat effort by all the pupils to wear blue and gold for the day.
